Duncan Craig LLP is pleased to welcome Articling Student Gurneet Baidwan to the firm.
Gurneet Baidwan earned his Bachelor of Arts with distinction from The King’s University, where he received several academic awards and scholarships, including the Academic Distinction Scholarship, Academic Excellence Scholarship, Christian Labour Association of Canada Scholarship, and Jason Lang Scholarship.
During law school, Gurneet was involved with the Sports and Entertainment Law Club and Runnymede. He also volunteered with Student Legal Services, an organization that serves low-income individuals, as a Civil and Family Caseworker, and later worked with the Criminal Project as a Summer Student and Day Leader. During his time with the Criminal Project, he drafted multiple Charter notices and conducted negotiations, gaining practical experience in various aspects of criminal proceedings. He also gained hands-on advocacy experience through making applications and conducting a trial before the Alberta Court of Justice.
