Emma Himsl is an associate lawyer within our Estate Solutions Practice Group. Emma is dedicated to her clients as she diligently addresses their concerns, remains thoroughly prepared, and ensures they are well-informed throughout the estate planning process.

In Emma's Own Words:

"The reason I started practicing in wills and estates is because I wanted to help facilitate conversations around difficult topics, whether that is estate planning or dealing with the aftermath of a loved one’s passing. For many people, planning for after they pass away is a difficult topic. Frankly, they would rather talk about anything else. I think about these difficult topics so they don’t have to. Providing practical advice, guiding clients through the estate planning process, and giving them peace of mind is my goal when I meet with people. I provide an empathetic ear to clients to assist them through this process. I want to put my clients at ease so they have to worry about one less thing."

Emma earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a Minor in Classics (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta in 2010. Subsequently, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree in June of 2017 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2018. Emma kickstarted her legal career by articling at her father's law firm, Himsl Law, located in Vegreville, Alberta. Prior to pursuing law, she gained valuable experience working at a bank and with Citizenship and Immigration.

During her leisure time, Emma indulges in her passions for travel, photography, and reading. Having explored numerous destinations, she has embarked on remarkable adventures in over 40 countries, including reaching Everest Base Camp and exploring the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
