Our People

Monelle Sturko

Monelle Sturko is a lawyer in our litigation practice group, with an emphasis on personal injury law.

Having practised as a litigator for many years, Monelle has extensive experience in applications at Provincial Court and Court of Queen's Bench, and has run successful trials in Provincial Court. Monelle is a strong advocate of the mediation process, as well as Judicial Dispute Resolution. She has achieved great success for her clients through alternative dispute resolution.

Monelle credits her upbringing in a small farming community with her ability to take a practical approach to problem solving for her clients, as well as being able to communicate effectively to achieve the best results. She understands that the legal process can seem overwhelming and at times, frustrating. Because of this, Monelle strives to provide guidance and clear explanations to her clients as they move through the litigation process.

Prior to joining Duncan Craig LLP, Monelle worked at a boutique firm in Edmonton, specializing in insurance defence litigation.

Outside of work, Monelle loves the outdoors, and is an avid gardener. Passionate about art, music and literature, she is a strong supporter of the arts community. Most of all, Monelle enjoys cheering on her sons at their hockey games.
