David Adie is an associate specializing in the field of litigation, with a primary focus on construction and commercial litigation. His legal expertise encompasses land purchase disputes, construction deficiencies, builders' liens, debt recovery and restructuring, as well as commercial tenancy disputes.

In David's Own Words:

"Coming from an academic background, I have always enjoyed history. There was no greater excitement than diving into an archive and crafting a narrative around the primary sources I could uncover. I have carried my love of research into my practice and have learned to balance the factual details of a case with legal analysis. At the same time, my background in theatre has helped me excel at oral advocacy, making me a confident and comfortable litigator. While I still am developing as a lawyer, my clients will be confident in my ability to represent them on any issue."

During his time in law school, David served as a research assistant, co-authoring a paper on the conservation of Southern Resident Killer Whales in the Salish Sea, showcasing his commitment to protecting the environment. Furthermore, David gained practical experience by working with an environmental law group for a summer, where he delved into research related to sustainable energy policies, highlighting his dedication to creating a greener future. David received the Al Shumiatcher Memorial Prize in Advocacy for academic achievement in Public Law Advocacy.

Before embarking on his legal career, David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lethbridge, graduating with Distinction. His academic pursuits included writing an Honors Thesis that explored the intriguing topic of the Titanic's sinking, demonstrating his passion for in-depth research and analysis.

Outside the legal arena, David finds fulfillment in volunteering with a local environmental land reclamation group, actively contributing to the betterment of the community. In his leisure time, he and his partner enjoy immersing life in the great outdoors camping, and provided the temperature is above freezing jogging. Last but certainly not least, David cherishes moments spent with his feline companion, Minette.
