Isabel completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta where she received an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with first class honours. She continued her studies at the University of Alberta to obtain her law degree in 2019. While in law school Isabel was a Coordinator for the Civil and Family law project for Student Legal Services.
Isabel has a firm commitment to the Edmonton community and has also volunteered in several other capacities, including with Edmonton Community Legal Center, Civil Claims Duty Counsel, Edmonton Protection Order Program, Pro Bono Students Canada, Elizabeth Fry Society Court Assistance and Legal Clinic programs.
Prior to attending law school, Isabel worked as part of a medical research team at the University of Alberta specializing in clinical neuropsychology. Isabel received numerous awards and scholarships for her contributions and credits this experience as providing her with a passion for problem solving.
In her spare time, Isabel has an interest in the fine arts and enjoys both learning about art history and painting. But her favorite way to experience art is through travelling and visiting museums abroad.
