Akshata Kulkarni is an associate at Duncan Craig LLP, practicing in the field of civil litigation. She has experience in insurance defense, contractual disputes, construction law, and wills and estates planning and administration.

Before starting her legal career, Akshata earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta. She obtained her Juris Doctor in 2019 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2020.

Akshata is a strong advocate for access to justice. During her summers in law school, she worked with Student Legal Services, a student-managed non-profit society assisting low-income individuals with legal concerns. She has also volunteered with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre, Civil Claims Duty Counsel, and the Edmonton Protection Order Program.

In her spare time, Akshata enjoys spending time with her family and pet dog, reading, and traveling to new places.
