Cole Mailloux is an associate practicing in Duncan Craig’s Litigation group with a focus on commercial and corporate litigation, employment law, and construction law.

Cole completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with Honours at MacEwan University, where he published a thesis on government regulation of biotechnology and artificial intelligence. Prior to law school, Cole worked extensively with a Canadian non-profit organization spearheading a program designed to provide marginalized individuals with access to assistive technology.

Cole earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Alberta while volunteering with the Student Legal Services Criminal Law Project, representing low-income individuals in docket hearings, summary dispositions, and trials. Cole also played for the University of Alberta Golden Barristers Law Rugby Club.

Cole joined us after beginning his career with an international law firm in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he gained invaluable experience and exposure to complex litigation and dispute resolution with a variety of clientele.

In Cole’s Own Words:

"I grew up in a small rural Alberta community supported by the agricultural and the oil and gas industries. Throughout my early life and career, I have been fortunate to gain exposure and work with people from all occupations, industries, and walks of life. I recognize the importance of establishing effective and open channels of communication, fostering strong relationships, and setting a practical course for the resolution of disputes, one tailored for the unique requirements of each client and the factual circumstances underlying their matter."

Outside of his practice, Cole spends his time golfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
